What is POP? (Pelvic Organ Prolapse)
The organs of your pelvis are not sitting in the same position as they once did.

In pregnancy our organs, ligaments and tissues all shift around, get stretched and a little lax to make way for baby’s arrival.
And sometimes during labor it can be a bit traumatic to the tissues with all the stretching, tearing and pressure from pushing.
Pelvic organ prolapse can come in several forms.
Commonly, it is when our bladder, uterus or rectum are starting to drop lower than they are supposed to. Sometimes just a little, and ranging all the way to exiting the body. And sometimes (as in my case) you get a lovely mix of the kinds.
It can feel like heaviness in your pelvic area. Or a tampon falling out. Or you feel bulges where there wasn’t bulges before.
